Set of 4 PF-4 Fluoride Replacement Filters for Berkey Ceramic Filters

Set of 4 PF-4 Fluoride Replacement Filters for Berkey Ceramic Filters Feature

• Set of 4 Berkey PF-4 Replacement water filters
• For use with gravity filter systems that use ceramic filters
• Will fit on British Berkefeld and Doulton ceramic filters
• Remove/reduces fluoride, arsenic, MTBE, Lead
• WILL NOT FIT BLACK BERKEY FILTERS

Set of 4 PF-4 Fluoride Replacement Filters for Berkey Ceramic Filters Overview

Designed to be used as a post filter to remove or reduce fluoride, lead, arsenic, and MTBE. These are used in conjunction with ceramic filters, and screw onto the bottom threads. For use with gravity filter systems such as the Big Berkey and British Berkefeld systems that use white ceramic filters. Not for use with Black Berkey filters.Technical Specifications: MTBE: The PF-4 is manufactured to exceed ANSI/NSF Standard 53 which requires that MTBE be reduced by at least two thirds from an influent rate (water going in) of 15ppb to an effluent rate (water going out) of less than 5ppb (> 95% reduction*). LEAD: Tests have shown that when 2000 gallon (7,600 liters) of influent water at a concentration of lead of 200 ppb pass through 200 grams of media at a flow rate of 1 gpm (3.8 lpm), the lead level was reduced to less than 1ppb (>99% reduction). FLUORIDE: Testing for fluoride was based on 20-30ppm of the ion in the influent aqueous solution at a flow rate of no more than 3 gpm (11 lpm) per cubic foot of media. Results of < 1ppm of the fluoride ion in the effluent were typical for the media (>95% reduction). Under optimum conditions, effluent concentrations of less than 50 ppb were readily achieved (>99.75% reduction).REPLACEMENT:Under normal conditions it is recommended that PF-4 elements be replaced at six-month intervals (Actual capacity is dependent on the presence of other competing contaminants in the source water. High levels of total organic carbons, volatile organic compounds or certain inorganic minerals may reduce the capacity and efficiency of these elements.)

Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier

Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier Feature

• Eliminates or Reduces up to 99.9% of:
• Unpleasant taste and odors, cloudiness, silt, sediment and chlorine
• Toxic chemicals: Trihalomethanes, VOCs, detergents, pesticides, etc
• Harmful microscopic pathogens: Cryptosporidium, Giardia, E-coli >99.99999% and other pathogenic bacteria
• Heavy metals: Aluminum, Cadmium, Chromium, Copper, Lead, and Mercury

Sport Berkey Portable Water Purifier Overview

This advanced technology was developed, refined, and proven through diligent, investigative research and testing performed by water purification specialists, researchers and engineers. The media within the filter element removes contaminants by a surface phenomenon known as "adsorption" which results from the molecular attraction of substances to the surface of the media. As the bottle is pressed, the source water is forced through the filter. The quality and volume of media used, determine the rate of adsorption. The flow rate or time of exposure through the filter has been calculated to yield the greatest volume removal of toxic chemicals caused by pollution from industry and agriculture. This exclusive filter element is impregnated with proprietary "absorbing" media that promotes IONIC "absorption" of pollutants within the micro-porous element, such as aluminum, cadmium, chromium, copper, lead, mercury, and other dangerous heavy metals. The "Tortuous Path" structure of these pores gives it its unique characteristics. The Sport Berkey® Portable Water Purifier offers a convenient and portable filtration system using medical grade technology.Note: If using a source of water that might contain extreme bacteriological or viral contamination, it is recommended that two drops of plain chlorinated bleach or iodine be added to each refill before filtering. This will kill minute pathogens such as viruses. The disinfectant will then be filtered from the water entirely removing its odor, color and taste.

• 7" in length. Includes rubber washer and wing nut.
• Super Sterasyl outer ceramic shell - Filters bacteria and cysts
• Activated carbon inside - Reduces chlorine and removes bad tastes and odors
• Filters are self steralizing and re-cleanable

(4) 7" British Berkefeld Ceramic Water Filters for Big Berkey Overview

British Berkefeld filters use the age-old process of micro-porous filtration used by nature coupled with modern state-of-the-art technology and the highest quality materials to produce one of the finest water filtration systems available anywhere. At the core of the sub-micron ceramic filter is the most basic of elements: Diatomaceous Earth. This is the same substance, which artisans refine into exquisite porcelain and pottery. The microscopic pores of the ceramic filter element make it an extremely efficient filter for the reduction of particulate matter, pathogenic bacteria and fine sediment from water. Minute particulate matter will quickly plug media style filters, but the ceramics have the added benefit of being re-cleanable and re-useable.The Super Sterasyl element, used in Berkey systems, utilizes the latest technological advances of ceramic filtration by incorporating pure silver impregnation into the porous ceramic shell to inhibit the growth of bacteria.Furthermore, the Super Sterasyl ceramic filter elements contain activated carbon, which reduces unwanted chemical and organic compounds from the water while also improving taste. Each filter can be cleaned many, many times before needing replacement. If using tap water, the filters will normally only need to be cleaned every 6 months. You will know when your filters need to be cleaned because the filtration rate will slow down. To clean, simply rub the filters with a scotch-brite pad under running water (as in the picture above).

2 Black Berkey Replacement Water Filters - Big Berkey Overview

Set of 2 replacement filters. Will fit the following Berkey systems: Travel Berkey, Big Berkey, Royal Berkey, Imperial Berkey, Crown Berkey, Berkey Light. Black Berkey Purification Elements are more powerful than any other gravity filter element currently available. In fact, we tested the Black Berkey purification elements with more than 10,000 times the concentration of pathogens per liter than is required by standard test protocol. This concentration of pathogens is so great that the post filtered water should be expected to contain 100,000 or more pathogens per liter (99.99% reduction - the requirement for pathogenic removal). Incredibly the purification elements removed 100%. Absolutely no pathogens were cultured from the effluent or were able to be detected, even under an electron microscope, setting a new standard in water purification.Black Berkey purification elements are so powerful, they can remove red food coloring from water without removing the beneficial minerals your body needs. Virtually no other filtration element can duplicate this performance. The powerful Black Berkey purification elements also remove or reduce viruses, pathogenic cysts, parasites, harmful or unwanted chemicals such as herbicides and pesticides, VOCs, detergents, organic solvents, trihalomethanes, cloudiness, silt, sediment, nitrates, nitrites, heavy metals, foul tastes and odors, yet they leave in the healthful and beneficial minerals that your body needs.
